WEEK 29

Directed by Pamela Turner

In November of 2002, playwright Suzan-Lori Parks challenged herself to write a play each day for an entire year, giving birth to the international 365 Days/365 Plays Project. In 2006, with the invitation to join in on this event, multiShades.atlanta challenged itself to create a collaborative production in progress based on seven of those plays that would expand the work dimensionally.

True to the multiShades mission, artistic director Pamela Turner extended an open invitation to those in the Atlanta artistic community who wanted to be part of the goup's contribution to the 365 Project.

The participating artists have been diverse in their approach to performance, with many circulating in and out of the process to leave their footprint as new participants came on board. The result is a performance collage that features puppetry, video design, aerial work, classical violin, jazz, and theatrical interaction. Small groups of audience members are guided through the theatre space to experience a series of vignettes mediated by image, sound, and miraculous feats.

June 1-3, 2007.
