The Nigger Knees Dancer is the first poem of 'Trilogy' - three mini-epic poems or extremely lyrical short stories. The Nigger Knees Dancer is a poetic yet brutal (the images within the poem are horrific) look at the 1906 Atlanta Riots with a moment of hope and redemption at the end. The 2nd poem Katrina The Pure is described on the NEWS page and a performance excerpt is on the intro page of designer Sabina Maja Angel. The 3rd poem Ah! Rolihlahla (Stirring up trouble)  [rOlEhlA'lA]  row - lee - la - la: is a lyrical tribute to Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela celebrating his courage, wisdom and vision. This poem is structured to invite sonic embellishment that in turn triggers select visual imagery.
